Psychologist Third Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Job Responsibilities: Conduct Court ordered Psychological assessments. Also conduct Psychological assessments for probation, parole, pre-sentence and residential clients of the District. Conduct Psychosexual Evaluations on District sex offenders. Co-facilitate Sex Offender Group. Complete Sex Offender Modification Evaluations. Other duties as assigned by District Director. Required Experience/Training: Graduation from a Master’s degree program in psychology, counseling or social work at an accredited college or university, and the equivalent of two years of full-time post-Master’s degree work experience as a psychologist, counselor or social worker in any setting; or Graduation from an approved Doctorate degree program in psychology, counseling or social work; or The equivalent of twelve months of full-time experience as a Psychologist 1 in a state service will be considered as qualifying Preferred: Broad knowledge and understanding of correctional research, principles of effective correctional interventions, and the adult criminal justice system. Necessary Special Requirement: Must have or be able to obtain Sex Offender Treatment Professional, Level II certification. Interviewees are required to take the MMPI. Background investigation, including criminal history data, is conducted on all candidates selected for hire. Salary: Starting Salary $53,497.60 Annually Work Schedule: Generally Monday-Friday; variable as needed to perform assigned duties such as Group facilitator.
