SIOUX CITY | Two Ohio motorcyclists were hospitalized after being forced off the road by a semitrailer, an Iowa State Patrol report said.

The accident happened at 10:30 a.m. June 13.

William Halker, 62, was driving his motorcycle north on Interstate 29 near mile marker 140 when a semitrailer driven by Jowell Johnson, 62, made an unsafe lane change, according to police.

Halker and passenger Lois Halker, both of Ottawa, Ohio, suffered injuries and were taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center - Sioux City.

Johnson, of Beldon, Neb., was not injured.

Additional details were not available Wednesday.
