SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa | A man accused of trying to break into a Spirit Lake, Iowa, residence armed with throwing knives faces criminal charges.
Senjen Kannady, 25, of Spencer, Iowa, was charged with felony going armed with intent, felony attempted first-degree burglary, misdemeanor first-degree harassment and a misdemeanor weapons violation.
Kannady is accused of trying to break into a residence on the 700 block of 20th Street about 8 a.m. Saturday, according to a criminal complaint.
He was armed with two throwing knives and had threatened to kill someone, Spirit Lake police said in the complaint.
The documents don't say who Kannady threatened. Police also did not say how Kannady knew the people inside the residence.
