SLOAN, Iowa | All Woodbury County jailers and patrol deputies are now outfitted with wearable cameras.
The department on Wednesday released footage one of the cameras recorded during a chase in Sloan, Iowa.
In the footage, Deputy Zane Chwirka chases a man who ran out of a house during a domestic assault investigation.
The incident happened in May. It was chosen for release because the suspect has already been through the court system, said Woodbury sheriff Major Todd Wieck.
Jailers wear the camera in a holster on the front of their shirt. Patrol deputies can wear it on their collar, eyeglasses or hat.
