A new option for Woodbury County Republicans has been created, with the launch of the Lincoln Reagan Club. People who pay the amount to join as either individuals ($75) or families ($175) will have opportunities to meet local, state and national candidates, get priority seating at sponsored events, receive special memorabilia and attend Politics After Hours events.

The Lincoln Reagan Club was created by Rachel Raak, of Correctionville, who is now handling fundraising and event planning for the Woodbury County Republican Party. Raak is a former Ida County Republican Party chairwoman, and is enthused about having more events for the county party.

The next Politics After Hours event will be May 12 at The Grind Cafe and Lounge in Sioux City. Many 2016 Republican office seekers have been invited to come and answer questions, including Iowa 4th congressional district candidates Steve King and Rick Bertrand, the Iowa House Districts 6, 13 and 14 candidates, and those pursuing Woodbury County positions.

Republicans outside Woodbury County can join the Lincoln Reagan Club.
