JOURNAL TO GET NEW BUILDING: A contract was signed yesterday afternoon between Perkins Bros. Co. and B.E. Short for the erection of a new home for The Journal. Work will be started at once. The structure will go up on the old Lindholm site, at the southwest corner of Fifth and Douglas streets. Investment in the realty and completed building will total $175,000. The new building will have three floors and a basement. The same construction with few variations, has been utilized on the new Davidson building, the Motor Mart, and the Martin hotel. Because of interest taken in the operation of the newspaper presses, the Journal in its new home, will be on display all the time. The press floor will afford a gallery for sightseers, wishing to watch a press in action.- Oct. 7-13, 1913
