SIOUX CITY -- Dr. Marc Burrell joined the Mercy Medical Center Radiology team on Jan. 15.
He is fellowship-trained in vascular and interventional radiology. Burrell utilizes image-guided catheters to perform minimally invasive therapies to treat conditions that formerly required extensive surgery. Interventional radiologists specialize in the treatment of vascular disease, cancer and pain management.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Burrell completed his education and began practicing in Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree in bioengineering at Rice University and his doctorate at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He interned in Pennsylvania at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is where Dr. Burrell completed his diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology.
DBurrell is board-certified by the American College of Radiology and most recently practiced in Dallas. His professional affiliations include the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Interventional Radiology, American Medical Association, and Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine.
