SIOUX CITY | Ode is accepting pitches for its next live storytelling event through Feb. 15.
The theme is “Just Keep Going,” featuring stories of persistence in the face of adversity. Story ideas can be pitched in 250 words or less to Ode founder Ally Karsyn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ode is a storytelling series where community members tell true stories on stage to promote positive impact through empathy. It’s produced by Siouxland Public Media, and all events are recorded for broadcast.
The next show will be 7 p.m. April 6 at The Marquee, presented in partnership with One Book One Siouxland. The theme is inspired by Margot Lee Shetterly's book-turned-movie, "Hidden Figures,” which is the featured book for this year’s community-wide reading initiative.
