SIOUX CITY -- Children are invited to attend an Easter egg hunt Saturday at the Midtown Family Community Center, while everyone is invited to go shopping for Easter outfits and attend an Easter morning breakfast. All events are free.

The Easter egg hunt will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday outside the center, at 14th and Nebraska streets, Janet Reynolds, chairman of the Jones Street Neighborhood Coalition and a center board member, announced today. Children ages 2 to 13 are invited to participate.

Also on Saturday morning, a limited number of spring clothing will be available for people of all ages, courtesy of the sisters at Briar Cliff University.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, the center will hold an Easter breakfast and food give-away. Chefs from the new Eldon's restaurant will fix the meal, while members of the Mount Zion Baptist Church will serve the food. Reynolds noted the community center hopes to make this an annual event.
