The 100th Clay County Fair opened in Spencer, Iowa, Saturday and attracted thousands to the exhibits, the rides, the entertainment, the merchandise and the food.

While judges finished assessing this year's entries, visitors checked out new products and food -- like Not Your Mama's Taco and Thanksgiving balls.

Animals were primped and prepped for judging, too, and the weather held up for the world's greatest county fair.

It continues through Sept. 17.
