COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- Bishop Heelan got off to a strong start and never trailed after the opening few minutes in Friday's 68-53 Missouri River Conference road win over Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln.

Maycen Schueth, a senior, hit four three-pointers and led the Crusaders with 21 points.

Ella Skinner had 15 points and Katelyn Stanley 13 in a game Heelan led 15-8 after one quarter and 34-19 at halftime.

Heelan remained in first place in the MRAC at 5-1 and is now 8-4 overall.

The Crusaders limited Abraham Lincoln leading scorer Claire Jones (11.5 ppg) to just one three-point basket for three points. Cailey Schaa hit five three-pointers and led the Lynx (6-5, 3-3) with 17 points.
