SERGEANT BLUFF | Dylan Laughlin had 250 yards of total offense and four touchdowns as the Sergeant Bluff-Luton football team opened its season with a 33-0 shutout over MOC-Floyd Valley here Friday.

Laughlin completed 12 of 18 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns for SB-L (1-0). He also had 16 rushing yards and scored on a 4-yard run.

Britton Delperdang had 15 carries for 169 yards. Ty Boekelman had 105 all-purpose yards (51 rushing and 54 receiving) and a pair of scores. Conner Groves had two receptions for 112 yards with a 74-yard touchdown.

Carter Heemstra had 177 passing yards for MOC-Floyd Valley (0-1). Kyle TeGrootenhuis had six catches for 91 yards.

SB-L had 279 rushing yards and averaged 8.5 yards per carry. Defensively, the Warriors held MOC-Floyd Valley to 106 rushing yards and just 2.6 yards per carry.

SB-L plays at Sioux City East next week while MOC-Floyd Valley plays at Le Mars.
