ELKHORN, Neb. | Freshman Brad Bennett scored 21 points to help lead Mount Michael Benedictine to a 58-49 win over South Sioux City in a first round boys basketball game of the River Cities Conference tournament Tuesday.
Kaleb Brink, also a ninth-grader, also added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Knights improved to 10-3. Kevin Candia had 11 points while Brad Hartnett and Elijah Sailors scored 10 apiece for the Cardinals (2-11). South Sioux City will host Ralston in a consoltation game of the RCC tournament Thursday at 5:45 pm.
