SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- South Sioux City bolted out of the gates to begin the game and rolled to a 68-40 win over Beatrice in a River Cities Conference game played Saturday at the Cardinal Mini-Dome.
The ninth-ranked Cardinals led 21-8 after one quarter and 46-11 at halftime in moving to 4-0 in the RCC and 10-4 overall.
McKenna Sims, one of four in double figures, had a strong floor game with 16 points, six rebounds, eight assists and five steals in the win.
Taryn Christensen tallied 12 points and eight rebounds while also hitting double figures were Kyra Fischer and Tiffany Tinker with 10 points apiece.
Michaela Jones, a senior, led Beatrice with 21 points.
South Sioux City opens River Cities Conference tourney play on Monday at home against Ralston.
