SIOUX CITY -- West came out with intensity in the first quarter and posted a big 67-29 home-court Missouri River Conference girls basketball win over Thomas Jefferson on Saturday.

Carly Knutson-Kobold was the lone double figure scorer for West with 12 points. The hosts had 11 different girls get into the scoring column in improving to 13-6 overall and closing out a 8-4 MRAC slate.
Thomas Jefferson, which has established a new five-player single season school record for wins with 12, was limited to 12 field goals in the game and went 0-for-5 from the free throw line. LaTeah Willie led the way with nine points.
West won the junior varsity game 55-25 behind 18 points from Madison Burge, 12 from Mia Moore and 10 from Hope Wagner.
