COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa | Robert Mosey only scored four points but still finished with a double-double as the Sioux City West boys basketball defeated Omaha Benson 77-58 in the Jennie Ed Classic at the MidAmerica Center here Saturday.
Mosey dished out 10 assists and pulled down 10 rebounds for West (6-4). Adien Belt scored 16 points for the Wolverines. Kory Woodruff finished with 15 points and Cliff McCray added 12.
Jalen Parmar-Watson had 16 points for Benson (0-11) and Brian Baker tossed in 13.
West led 36-18 at halftime but Benson outscored the Wolverines 25-18 in the third quarter to trim the lead to 54-43 going into the final period. West then finished the game with a 23-15 advantage in the fourth quarter to win comfortably.
West plays next at fifth-ranked (4A) Sioux City East in a Missouri River Activities Conference tilt on Tuesday.
