I. Miller & Co.

"As wholesale dealers in California wines and brandies and fine Kentucky whiskies the firm of I. Miller & Co. is well known in Iowa, Nebraska, teh Dakotas and Minnesota. Employment is given to five traveling salesmen who represent the firm in this territory. In addition to their large wholesale business the firm is conceded to have the largest trade in the city in furnishing fine wines and brandies to the family trade. The sample room of the firm in connection with their wholesale branch does a fine business. The members of the firm are Isaac Miller and Herman Galinsky. They have been in business in Sioux City for four years and have built up a business that is highly successful."

1915: The city directory lists 120 to 125 Jewish-owned businesses.

1921: Federation of Jewish Social Services is organized.

1923: Sioux City's second Jewish cemetery, Independent Farane, is organized.

1925: Rabbi H.R. Rabinowitz comes to Sioux City.
