WAYNE, Neb. | Wayne State College will be putting on an "Evening of Choirs" on Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne.
The concert will feature the 62-voice Wayne State College Concert Choir and 30-voice Women’s Choir. The musical performances will be inspired by the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
Selections for the concert will include "Richte mich, Gott (Psalm 43)" by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy; "Set Me As A Seal Upon Your Heart" by Rene Clausen; "In Peace and Joy" with text by Martin Luther and music by James Fritschel; and "How Lovely is thy Dwelling Place" from The German Requiem by Johannes Brahms.
The concert will conclude with the contemporary "Untraveled Worlds," featuring The Black Box Trio. Trio members include Wayne State faculty Kathi Angeroth on violin, Dr. Karl Kolbeck on clarinet and Shelly Armstrong on piano.
