2 pounds very lean ground beef or diced chuck steak
7 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons paprika
1 onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (15 ounces) red beans
1 can (15 ounces) tomatoes, whole or diced
Brown ground beef and drain. Stir in tomato sauce and 2 cans of water. Mix all ingredients except cayenne pepper, beans and tomatoes. Simmer 30 minutes. Add as much pepper as desired. Add beans and tomatoes. Simmer 20 minutes.
