SIOUX CITY | The 10th annual "Pink in the Rink" event, held during an Oct. 21 Sioux City Musketeers home game, raised nearly $56,000 for UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Imaging and Breast Screening Services and Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa.
Hosted by UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Foundation, Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa and the Sioux City Musketeers, Pink in the Rink raises funds through the sale of t-shirts, tickets and pink ducks. In addition, funds are raised at a jersey auction following the Musketeers game.
Since its beginning, Pink in the Rink has raised a total of around $500,000.
Proceeds are split evenly between UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Imaging and Breast Screening Services and Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa.
This year’s event was sponsored by Midlands Clinic Coordinated Breast Care, Pierce Street Same Day Surgery, Siouxland Obstetrics & Gynecology, Absolute Screen Art, Avery Outdoor, Sioux City Journal, KG95, 107.1 KISS FM and ABC9 News.
