Patricia Taylor Gilliam and Matthew P. Hittle exchanged marriage vows on Oct. 22 at St. Bridget of Ireland Catholic Church in Berryville, Virginia, with the Rev. Stanley Krempa officiating. The bride was given away by her father.
A reception was held at historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville. The couple celebrated with a wedding trip to Western Europe, and are now at home in Washington, D.C.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin. She works in the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative assistant in Washington, D.C. Her parents are Grant and Diane Gilliam of Houston, Texas, and William and Lydia Abbott of Redman, Washington.
The groom is a graduate of Bishop Heelan High School and received his post-graduate degrees from the University of South Dakota. He works in the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative assistant for South Dakota Rep. Kristi Noem. His parents are Peter and Nancy Hittle of New Orleans, Louisiana.
