Ashley Henke and Jonathan Smith exchanged marriage vows on Oct. 15 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sioux City with the Rev. Michael Cronin officiating. The bride was given away by her parents.
A reception was held at the North Sioux City Community Center in North Sioux City. The couple will celebrate with a honeymoon in Jamaica before settling at home in North Sioux City.
The bride attended Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School, received her undergraduate degree in biology from Briar Cliff University and her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Des Moines University. She is employed at UnityPoint Health -- St. Luke's as a physical therapist. Her parents are Douglas and Diane Henke of Washta, Iowa.
The groom attended high school at Omaha Benson. He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Briar Cliff University. He is employed as a financial analyst at Ho-Chunk Inc. He also plays for the Sioux City Bandits. His parents are Vickie and Orlanda Parker of Omaha, Nebraska.
