SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich won't appear Monday at a lecture series at Dordt College in Sioux Center.
The Family Leader group in a Wednesday press release announced Gingrich would not be able to make the morning event, but will appear in the two other slated lecture stops on the day in Pella and Iowa City.
The release said Gingrich, former Speaker of the House from Georgia, had a scheduling conflict, and has offered alternative dates in the effort to reschedule his lecture at Dordt College.
