SIOUX CITY | The place for former President Bill Clinton's Wednesday campaign event in Sioux City has been announced as the Anderson Dance Pavilion in Chris Larsen Park on the Missouri riverfront.
Bill Clinton will campaign on behalf of his wife, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, in the outdoor venue at 1 p.m. People may arrive at noon for the event at the pavilion, which is located in Chris Larsen Park.
There will be limited parking near the pavilion. Given some construction work on Interstate 29 near the pavilion, the Clinton team is encouraging people to park north across Gordon Drive in the Tyson Events Center parking lot. People can walk from Tyson under a tunnel to the park area.
The weather forecast for early afternoon is 59 degrees, with a 10 percent change of rain.
People who want to reserve spots can do that through Hillary Clinton's campaign website. The Clinton rally had originally announced on Sunday without a place and start time.
Clinton's campaign said the event will be to encourage early voting in Iowa, considered a "toss-up" state, in advance of the Nov. 8 election. Clinton is vying for the presidential position with Republican Donald Trump.
Bill Clinton will also make stops Wednesday in Waterloo and Des Moines.
Bill Clinton most recently campaigned in Sioux City on Jan. 15 at Morningside College, where 300 people watched his speech two weeks before the Iowa caucuses.
