SIOUX CITY | Barry Manilow will do more than play a concert in Sioux City June 21. He announced he is supporting an instrument drive to support the Sioux City Public Schools.
To kick off the event, the singer of such hits as “Mandy” and “I Write The Songs” has donated a new Yamaha piano to the drive.
Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument will receive two free tickets for Manilow’s Sioux City concert.
Instruments can be dropped off 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday until June 21 at the Tyson Events Center, 401 Gordon Drive.
The drive is part of the Manilow Music Project which provides musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and provides music scholarships at universities throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
