SIOUX CITY | Briar Cliff University has received a $75,000 grant to expand music arts education.
The grant was awarded in support of Briar Cliff’s Choral Arts Program Enhancement Initiative. The funding will be used to expand the program, which supports choral arts in the region.
The funding is from the Gilchrist Foundation, which furthers the philanthropy of the late Jocelyn Gilchrist and her family in the arts, wildlife, conservation, public broadcasting, medical care and disaster.
The Gilchrist Foundation also recently awarded a $125,000 grant to Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools to fund a fine-arts wing and $75,000 to Morningside College to renovate the Eugene C. Eppley Fine Arts Building.
