SIOUX CITY | The workweek will begin on a cold note as much of Siouxland will stay in the low 20s for a daytime high on Monday.
However, Tim Masters, a technician with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, said a warm-up is on the way for Tuesday.
"A 10-15 mph south/southeast breeze will make the temps climb to the low 40s," he said. "Wednesday should be just as mild with a high of 43. However, winds will switch to the northwest, bringing in colder temps during the overnight hours and on Thursday."
Thursday's high will be near 21 and the overnight temperature will drop to around 5 above.
Masters said the next chance for snow will come on Friday, especially before noon. Otherwise, expect sunny skies and a high near 30.
Saturday brings another chance for the white stuff. Expect mostly cloudy skies, a 50 percent chance of precipitation and a high near 28.
