SIOUX CITY | Color Me Rad is coming to Sioux City.

The Salt Lake City-based group holds charity fun runs in which participants run through colorful powder made of corn starch and food dye.

The Sioux City 5-kilometer run is planned at 8 a.m. on Oct. 12 at the Tyson Events Center, 401 Gordon Drive. A portion of proceeds benefit Boys Club of Sioux City.

Registration is $30 before Aug. 16.

The organization is holding about 100 similar events across the country, including in Davenport and the Quad Cities. The runs are inspired by the Holi Festival of India.
