SIOUX CITY | The Sioux City Human Rights Commission will hold a public discussion on the influence and effect provided by women-only spaces Dec. 6 at the Sioux City Public Museum, 607 Fourth St. 

The public can join panelists for the event, titled "Bypassing the Patriarchy: The Impact of Women-Only Spaces," to learn and discuss how girls and women thrive in spaces where they can connect, communicate and confide. Panelists will include Girls Inc. Executive Director Mandi Engel-Cartie, University of Iowa student Jessica Ryan and others. 

The forum will include light refreshments and will conclude around 9 p.m.
