SIOUX CITY| Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin is scheduled to speak at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Morningside College.
Goodwin has written biographies on Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson and the Kennedy family.
She has a doctorate from Harvard University, where she taught government and a course on the American presidency. She was as an assistant to Johnson and worked with him on the preparation of his memoirs.
Goodwin will present stories, insights and analyses of the presidents and offer a historical perspective on the 2012 presidential election campaign.
The free lecture is part of the college’s 2012 Waitt Lecture series.
