SIOUX CITY -- For the most part, the last few days of this week are expected to be calm after a Tuesday snowstorm that dumped 3.7 inches of snow on Sioux City.
According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high temperature around 30 degrees. The low temperature Thursday night is pegged at 21 degrees.
On Friday, a few more clouds gather, though skies remain partly sunny. Friday night's low temperature is expected to be 24 degrees.
Saturday morning begins calmly enough, though skies are expected to be cloudy. In the afternoon, there is a 20 percent chance of rain. With a daytime high of 41, any precipitation during the day Saturday should fall as rain.
By Saturday night, however, the temperature is expected to drop to a low of 28, and a rain/snow mixture becomes possible. The odds of precipitation are still not especially high, with the current probability pegged at 30 percent Saturday night.
