SIOUX CITY | Sioux City will hold an Emergency Preparedness Fair Nov. 4 to educate Siouxlanders on how to react and care for themselves in emergency situations.
The event will begin 10 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m. at 1201 W. Clifton Ave. It is free to the public, with refreshments provided by the Salvation Army.
Presentations will include a 10:15 a.m. presentation on active shooter situations by Sioux City Police Detective Kevin McCormick; an 11:15 a.m. presentation on Immediate First Aid by Liz Ford, of Siouxland Paramedics; and a presentation on 72-hour kits by Chris and Judy Chauncey.
The event will also include displays on various topics from a handful of emergency organizations.
