Icy Interstate 29 accidents

Traffic is shown backed up on Interstate 29 north of Salix, Iowa, in January. Traffic in the southbound lane of I-29 near Salix will shut down temporarily as work is done on a bridge between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. tonight.

SALIX, Iowa | A bridge beam replacement operation on Interstate 29 will require closures of the southbound lane between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. tonight, weather permitting. 

The work is being done on the bridge that is two miles south of Salix.

The Iowa Department of Transportation said traffic will be stopped for 20-minute intervals.
