SPENCER, Iowa | Clay County Fair goers will have the opportunity to try construction equipment simulators at the Centennial Plaza through Sunday.
An IowaWORKS press release said the simulators are those of vehicles and machinery used at construction and excavation sites so people can try out controlling heavy equipment.
The display will also have area employers with information about career opportunities in construction, healthcare, wind technology, agriculture and manufacturing.
Additionally, the 10 Home Base Iowa counties will be highlighted as a magnet for area businesses to grow their workforce, the release said.
The simulator is presented by the Northwest Iowa Opportunities Hub, a partnership with Iowa Lake Corridor Development Corporation, Iowa Lakes Community College and IowaWORKS, the release said.
