Le MARS, Iowa | The Rotarians of Le Mars are hosting a district Rotary Club conference this weekend at the Le Mars Convention Center, 275 12th St. SE.

Members from Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Louisiana, Kansas and Utah will meet Friday and Saturday to "help develop projects locally, and internationally," a press release said.

Steve Harrington, governor of the Le Mars district, said a good time to visit the conference is at 10 a.m. Saturday. At that time, the conference will be highlighting projects from Haiti and Africa.

"The sun never sets on the work of Rotarians," Harrington said in the release. "There are 1.2 million members around the world all working to improve their communities, and to make a positive impact globally."
