SIOUX CITY -- Some light snow is expected in Siouxland on Tuesday evening.
Andrew Kalin, a meteorologist with the Sioux Falls National Weather Service, said some "pretty light" snow -- probably less than an inch -- will be moving into the area sometime in the mid-afternoon. The snow will probably be over around 6 or 7 p.m.
"Could have some lingering flurries after that," Kalin added.
Tuesday night is expected to be a cold one, with a low temperature around 2 degrees. Wind chills could drag that number down to -10 or -15 by Wednesday morning.
Another snow system is forecast for Sioux City on Thursday. Though it's a bit far out to make any exact predictions on the amount, Kalin said there could be "light amounts, maybe bordering on moderate amounts," of snow -- perhaps 1 to 4 inches.
