MAURICE, Iowa | A Maurice woman faces a child endangerment charge after a child was injured at her day care service, officials said.
Dianna Winder, 32, was charged with child endangerment causing bodily injury and serious assault.
According to a release issued Thursday by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a 15-month-old boy suffered non-life-threatening head injuries from an incident at Winder’s home, where she runs a day care center.
The sheriff’s office launched the investigation in November after a health-care provider reported the child’s injuries as suspicious.
No details on what caused the injury were immediately available Friday.
