SIOUX CITY | The calendar may say it is the middle of December but Sioux City's mid-40 degree high temperature means Sioux City won't feel too shivery on Friday.
Tim Masters, a technician with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, said December normal highs should be in the low 30s, while lows should normally dipping down to 13.
Monday's high of 46 and overnight low of 28 will be close to 15 degrees above normal, he said.
The unseasonably mild temps will continue Saturday through Wednesday as highs will be in the 40s and lows will touch down in the 20s.
Still, Masters said this all may change on Thursday.
"There's a 50 percent chance of snow in the forecast for next Thursday," he said. "The high will likely not go above 31 degrees that day."
So, there might be a chance for a white Christmas after all.
