SIOUX CITY | Seaboard Triumph Foods is partnering with the Boy Scouts of America to provide a Merit Badge Clinic at the Sioux City pork plant.
On Saturday, Seaboard Triumph will host two clinics for 50 local Boy Scouts to earn their Animal Science Merit Badge, according to a news release. There will be two sessions. The first session runs from 9 a.m. to noon and the second from 1 to 4 p.m.
In order to earn a badge, each scout must take a tour of the food processing facility, learn about the proper care of farm animals, diseases associated with hogs and discuss careers in the field of animal science, according to the release.
The Seaboard Triumph Foods campus opened earlier this year at 5555 Seaboard Triumph Parkway.
