SPENCER, Iowa | Seasons Center for Behavioral Health received a $9,000 donation from the Spencer Rotary and District Rotary to be used to build a fence around Autumn’s Center’s playground.
Autumn’s Center, a regional children’s center located in Spencer, opened in October 2016 and has since served 1,471 children.
The playground area behind Autumn’s Center serves as a space for clients to play and work on socialization skills. With this fence, Autumn’s Center can ensure clients’ safety and privacy in working toward their specialized goals with their provider.
The Spencer Rotary Club is a service organization coming together to make positive, lasting change in our community. The service organization coordinates two major projects during the year, the Rotary Book Sale and Rotary Radio Day, and funds raised at both events are used to benefit the community. The local Spencer Rotary Club funds were matched by the district Rotary organization for this project.
