SIOUX CITY | Volunteers will be needed for two Veterans Day events, according to Sarah Petersen, director of Support Siouxland Soldiers.

Five volunteers are being asked to thank U.S. veterans at a free breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 11 at Hy-Vee, 2827 Hamilton Blvd. In addition, Hy-Vee will also ask customers to donate items for holiday "Care" packages that will be sent to deployed Siouxland troops. Volunteers will be asked to accept these donations.

Approximately 20 volunteers will be needed to help decorate the Tyson Events Center prior to the Sioux City Musketeers Military Appreciation Game. Volunteers are asked to meet at Section 106 at 4 p.m. Nov. 11. Volunteers may also be asked to give away free flags and glow sticks or sell Support Siouxland Soldiers merchandise during the game.
