SOUTH SIOUX CITY | The West 29th Street reconstruction project -- from Daniels Lane east to Highway 77, and from Highway 77 east to South Ridge Plaza Drive -- has begun.
Weather permitting, the project should be substantially completed on or before Oct. 27, according to a City of South Sioux City news release.
The street will be reconstructed with three lanes (one lane each direction plus a shared middle turn lane), and the work will include new concrete paving, traffic signals, turn lanes, grading and seeding improvements.
Traffic will be allowed through the project site when practical. The city advises that motorists obey traffic signs and use caution when driving through construction.
