SIOUX CITY | Sioux City residents needing to dispose of old tires and household furnishings can attend the city's two-day city-wide cleanup event June 9 and 10.
The event will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9 and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 10 at the parking lot of the Long Lines Family Recreation Center, 401 Gordon Drive.
Residents are allowed to bring two appliances and four tires apiece, as well as household furnishings. Acceptable items include furniture, light fixtures, playground equipment and carpet.
Tree brush, electronic items, paint, chemicals, construction materials, batteries and automotive fluids will not be accepted. Residents needing to dispose of hazardous materials can contact the Citizen's Convenience Center at 712-255-8345.
All loads must be tied down or covered, and no contractors, businesses or landlords will be allowed at the event.
