STORM LAKE, Iowa | A Buena Vista University student has been charged with brandishing a knife and assaulting another student Monday inside a university residence hall.
Alissa Good, 20, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was charged with going armed with intent, two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, assault and disorderly conduct.
Storm Lake Police were dispatched to meet with the victim at 10 p.m. Monday at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center's emergency room. According to police, the victim told officers he owed Good money and she confronted and threatened him with a knife in White Hall. The victim said Good physically assaulted him several times and threw the knife at him, hitting him in the leg.
The victim told police he was not injured, but went to the emergency room to be examined because of a pre-existing medical condition.
Police found Good outside Grand Hall on the Buena Vista campus and took her into custody without incident. University security officers found the knife believed to be used in the incident in a men's restroom in White Hall.
