SIOUX CITY | A credit card skimming device was discovered on a pump at a local gas station Tuesday morning.
The Sioux City Police Department reported the device, found at a Cenex station at 1800 Highway 75 North was removed.
It is unknown how long the device was in place.
From looking at the outside, users would not have noticed the device, police said.
A similar device was found at Cubby's at 4200 S. York St. in February.
The police reminded card users to monitor activities on their credit and debit cards and to contact the credit card company if any fraudulent charges are noticed.
Residents should also report any suspicious activity at gas stations by contacting local law enforcement and the station clerk.
