STORM LAKE, Iowa | An employees at the Bomgaars store in Storm Lake has been arrested and charged with stealing more than $7,000 in cash from the store.

Abigail Clark, 19, of Early, Iowa, was arrested Tuesday on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, second-degree theft and five counts of forgery.

According to a Storm Lake Police Department news release, Clark forged customer names and fraudulently returned fictitious merchandise for cash within the store and then kept the money. Court documents show that the thefts occurred from Oct. 26 through Monday.

During the investigation, police responded to a house in the 800 block of Geneseo Street, where officers recovered more than $400 in merchandise bought with the stolen money from Bomgaars.

While at the home, police saw drug paraphernalia and arrested Connor Voss, 18, of Storm Lake, who they believe was involved in an unrelated theft Monday at Casey's General Store in Storm Lake. Voss was charged with fifth-degree theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
