SIOUX CITY -- A Le Mars, Iowa, woman was placed on probation Monday after pleading guilty to using counterfeit cash at Sioux City's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Brittany Derby, 29, entered her plea in Woodbury County District Court to one count of forgery.
District Judge Jeffrey Neary gave Derby a deferred judgment and placed her on probation for two years. She must pay $200 in restitution jointly with Kurt Jones and Jackelen Hartsock.
Derby was arrested in August after an investigation showed that she, Jones and Hartsock had made several cash transactions at the casino on Aug. 5. The bills were later found to be counterfeit.
Hartsock, 28, of Le Mars, pleaded guilty to forgery in January and was placed on probation.
Jones, 27, of Le Mars, has pleaded not guilty to forgery and is scheduled to stand trial March 6.
