SIOUX CITY | A man wanted on a sex offender registry violation in Minnesota was arrested Monday after going door to door in a Sioux City neighborhood.

At about 5 p.m. Monday, the Sioux City Police Department received reports of a suspicious person in the area of Stone Park Boulevard and Blackstone Avenue who was going door to door and telling people he was looking for work.

Officers found the man walking on LaSalle Street and identified him as William Bishop-Martinez, 26, of Mankato, Minnesota. Officers discovered he had an active warrant out of Minnesota for a violation of the sex offender registry and arrested him without incident.
