SOUTH SIOUX CITY | The South Sioux City Police Department is searching for a man who is believed to have shot another man with a BB gun Wednesday night.

In a Thursday release, police said the shooting occurred near 11 p.m. in the 300 block of East 16th Street. Yisak Ketma, 18, of South Sioux City, was found to have a small-caliber gunshot wound to his right leg.

Ketmas was transported to Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City by the South Sioux City Fire Department for the non-life threatening injury.

Police said they are searching for a Hispanic male who fled the incident, and robbery appears to be a possible motive.

The investigation continues and people with information pertaining to the incident are asked to contact the police department.
