SIOUX CITY | A second teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with a drive-by shooting in Morningside.
Sioux City police on Wednesday arrested Julian Lopez, 19, on charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and going armed with intent.
Police officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 5100 block of Lorraine Avenue at 2 a.m. Monday. Multiple shots were fired at a home in the area.
On Tuesday, police arrested Caleb Harding, 18, of Sioux City, for intimidation with a dangerous weapon and going armed with intent.
Court documents filed in Harding's case say he conspired with an accomplice to scare a person they were feuding with. Police said Harding and three others drove by, then Harding and one other person shot at the home in which four people were present. The bullets went through windows, doors and siding, but none of the occupants was struck.
In a news release Wednesday, police said they believe Lopez is the other person who fired shots at the house.
Harding was pulled over by officers who observed him texting while driving. He was found in possession of two loaded 9mm handguns containing rounds that matched the shell casings found at the scene of the shooting.
The investigation of the shooting is ongoing, police said, but no other suspects are being sought at this time.
